For the inaugural Sermon of the Hedonist Nun, we enter the Magdalene path through the mysteries of the flesh, pleasure, appetite, beauty, discipline, and embodied devotion.
Held beneath the Full Moon in Taurus, this class examines the ways suffering, denial, and self-deprivation have been confused with holiness. Find out what becomes possible when the body is no longer treated as something to conquer or transcend, but as an altar worthy of nourishment.
Together, we will explore and deconstruct religious glorification; of suffering, feminine pleasure and shame, fasting versus starvation, discipline versus deprivation, and the reclamation of food, beauty, perfume, rest, sensuality, and adornment as devotional practices.
Your deprivation is not proof of your holiness.
The body must be fed and nourished well wit pleasure and true love.
The altar tat is our body must be tended to like a rose arden.
The feminine must be permitted to return to er natural frequency of receiving and flowing in rest. .
