What if the qualities women have been taught to call their sins were once expressions of feminine intelligence?

Vanity. Rage. Disobedience. Darkness. Pride. Sexual autonomy. Refusal. Chaos.

The Sins of the Mothers is Archive II of Resurrecting the Goddess, a ceremonial lecture series exploring mythology, ritual, sacred adornment, embodiment, and the ancient feminine as living technologies of remembrance.

For our second archive, we descend into the mysteries of three Dark Primordial Mother currents: Inanna & Ereshkigal, Tiamat, and Lilith.

Rather than approaching their stories simply as ancient mythology, we will examine what these Mothers reveal about the qualities of feminine power that have been feared, disciplined, rejected, or made monstrous. What happens when we reclaim the sacred intelligence hidden beneath them?

Throughout the lecture, we will begin turning the old accusations inside out:

Vanity → Discernment & Self-Regard
Darkness → Depth & Shadow Integration
Rage → Boundary Intelligence
Chaos → Gestation & Creative Power
Disobedience → Sovereignty
Exile → Self-Recovery
Death → Initiation & Transformation

Rather than asking how the feminine can become more acceptable, The Sins of the Mothers asks:

What sacred intelligence have we abandoned in order to remain acceptable?

We will also continue our exploration of cinema as modern mythology, examining how the dangerous Mother, the rejected woman, the monstrous feminine, the unruly beauty, and the woman who refuses containment continue to appear throughout contemporary visual storytelling.
